Bio

Grant Faint
I am a Canadian who has been shooting film, video or still images since 1973. TV news was my life for 13 years chasing heroes and villains. In 1985 I discovered stock photography through The Image Bank, now a part of Gettyimages.

For thirty-three years I have wandered through 100 countries, some dozens of times. I have been blessed and that good fortune got me thinking as I neared my fiftieth birthday.

In 2004 I made a decision to share my success with African children who have lost parents due to HIV/AIDS. I have made two films to raise funds to that end.

The first is called SOGNARE, meaning to Dream, which is a retrospective of my photographic travels. The second is entitled ANAONA meaning To Believe. The latter is a meditation on Africa. January 2010 I began filming on my newest film, LA BELLA DOMANDA or A good question.
I will travel to 15 countries around the world asking one question: What does Love mean in your life?

This website also provides a fundraising opportunity. Absolutely all the money gathered from the photographic print sales go to African orphan programs in Tanzania and Sierra Leone.

If you buy a print you will be feeding, schooling, or clothing an orphan somewhere in Africa.
